My photojournalism Professor always said, "Photography is as much of an art as it is a science." And, it's true, even in the age of digital photography pushing out film into obscurity. The format has changed, but the balance of art and science behind a wonderful photograph has not.
There are two vital parts to taking a better photograph, no matter what kind of camera you have, and light is number one. And, I'm excited to break this down into short how-to videos to demystify the science or mechanical side of it. I hint at number two in my first How To Video here:
